A leading sugar packaging company seeks a FOOD QUALITY MANAGER to work in Umán, Yucatán. POSITION OBJECTIVE: Monitor and verify operational standards; ensure compliance with raw material, in-process, and finished product specifications; and verify adherence to the company’s established quality and food safety guidelines in accordance with applicable regulations. REQUIREMENTS: * Food Engineering, Chemistry, or related degree * Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality and/or production areas * Knowledge of quality and food safety management systems, including HACCP * Observant and detail-oriented * Logical and methodical approach to tasks * Residence near the Umán, Yucatán area, specifically within the Parque Mueblero industrial park * Immediate availability PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform activities ensuring achievement of performance indicators within the area of responsibility. * Participate in and support incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and control determination. * Understand food safety hazards associated with CCPs and/or PRPs, and the consequences of deviations. * Verify and monitor quality of in-process and finished products in accordance with technical specifications defined by the organization. * Verify and monitor the packaging and labeling process for finished products in accordance with technical, hygienic, and regulatory specifications. * Support and follow up on internal and external audit activities. * Halt production line upon detection of non-conforming product, subject to prior authorization. * Release intermediate and finished products. * Establish, implement, and monitor compliance with the HACCP program. * Ensure implementation of processes under the manager’s scope of control. * Participate in and support Emergency Response procedures. * Conduct incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and control determination. * Identify and communicate quality\-service and food safety risks that currently affect or may impact assigned activities.
