Continuous communication with the corporate Human Resources team A national construction company specializing in the execution of construction projects seeks: **PAYROLL SPECIALIST FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS** **Purpose of the Position:** To manage and execute payroll, attendance incident, and on-site personnel control processes directly at construction sites, ensuring accurate information, timely recordkeeping, and compliance with labor regulations, while maintaining continuous communication with the corporate Human Resources team to guarantee proper project operation. **Employment Offer:** **Monthly Salary:** $20,000 net **Benefits:** As mandated by law **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. **Location:** Nogales, Sonora **Reports To:** Human Resources Coordinator and Human Resources Manager **Requirements:** **Experience:** * 2–3 years as a payroll clerk or payroll assistant. * **Preferred experience in construction-sector companies or those employing operational staff on construction sites.** * Handling of attendance incidents, overtime, tardiness, attendance records, and personnel movements. * Willingness to work on-site (at construction sites). **Essential Technical Knowledge:** * Recording and validation of attendance incidents and preliminary payroll data. * Processing employee onboarding, termination, and modification procedures with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). * Maintaining attendance lists and operational logs. * Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems. * Administration and safekeeping of personnel files. * Basic knowledge of current labor regulations. **Main Responsibilities:** * Record and validate daily and weekly attendance incidents for on-site personnel. * Verify attendance lists, tardiness, absences, and overtime. * Timely submission of incident data for preliminary payroll preparation. * Process employee onboarding, termination, and modification procedures with IMSS per corporate guidelines. * Prepare, compile, and keep updated personnel files for on-site staff. * Verify employment contracts, renewals, and mandatory documentation. * Monitor personnel headcount and daily movements on site. * Control the distribution and use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), where applicable. * Address personnel inquiries regarding payments, attendance incidents, and employment-related movements. * Coordinate with the Human Resources Coordinator to resolve inconsistencies. * Prepare and submit weekly personnel, absenteeism, and movement reports. * Support operational recruitment on site when required. * Conduct on-site visits to verify staff attendance and presence. * Register leave requests, medical leaves, and supporting medical certificates. * Safeguard physical and digital personnel documentation. * Follow up on minor disciplinary procedures. * Handle internal personnel transfer requests. * Support implementation of NOM-035 on site. * Generate turnover and absenteeism reports. * Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of personal data.
