We are currently seeking a **Diesel and Gasoline Mechanic** **Location**: Irapuato, Gto. **Position Type**: Full-time **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM **Position Description** Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive and corrective maintenance on TEPA Transportes’ vehicles, ensuring their safe, efficient, and continuous operation. Apply technical procedures and safety standards during every intervention to maintain fleet operational availability, minimize roadside failures, and extend vehicle service life. **Responsibilities** 1. Conduct mechanical diagnostics of vehicles to identify faults in engines, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and other components. 2. Carry out preventive maintenance according to the established plan (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid level checks, etc.) 3. Perform corrective repairs on vehicles exhibiting faults, ensuring their safe return to operation. 4. Document all work performed, parts used, and relevant technical observations in logs or systems. 5. Verify that each repair complies with the company’s established quality and safety standards. 6. Request or verify availability of required spare parts needed to perform assigned services. 7. Assist in pre-departure inspections of vehicles before route dispatch, confirming they are in operational condition. 8. Conduct functional tests after each repair to ensure the fault has been resolved. 9. Respond to urgent fault or defect reports during the shift, prioritizing vehicles currently in operation. 10. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to industrial order and safety regulations. 11. Identify and report any critical or recurring conditions posing operational risk to the immediate supervisor. 12. Assist in the technical acceptance of newly acquired or externally repaired vehicles, validating their mechanical condition. 13. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with safety regulations in all activities. 14. Participate in technical training, updates, or safety courses when assigned. 15.
