Strengthen internal controls and support strategic decision-making **Financial Controller – Hospitality Industry** **Level:** Senior **Reports to:** CFO **Systems Used:** ERP (Odoo preferred) **Reports:** Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements **Hard Skills:** Knowledge of **IFRS and US GAAP**, experience with international structures, experience in external audit **Soft Skills:** Leadership, analytical thinking, working under pressure, effective communication, proactivity **Benefits** **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm **Employment Type:** Full-time, Hybrid, On-site **Salary:** $65,000 to $80,000 MXN gross monthly **Statutory Benefits:** 70% base IMSS contribution and 30% via other benefits such as savings fund **Position Objective:** The Financial Controller will be responsible for **leading the company’s accounting and finance function**, ensuring accurate multi\-entity financial consolidation under IFRS and US GAAP standards, local and international tax compliance, audit management, and strengthening of internal controls, supporting strategic decision-making in a rapidly growing environment backed by institutional capital. **Responsibilities:** * Supervise **general and consolidated accounting** for entities in Mexico, the United States, and the Cayman Islands. * Prepare and present **financial statements** monthly, quarterly, and annually under IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Coordinate **external and internal audits**, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and established timelines. * Design, implement, and reinforce **internal controls** for accounting, finance, and operations. * Lead the implementation and optimization of the **ERP system** (preferably Odoo) from an accounting and reporting perspective. * Develop strategies for accounting efficiency and tax planning. * Manage relationships with accounting, tax, and audit firms. * Report **financial information** to investors and other key stakeholders. * Lead, train, and scale the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or related field** * **6–10 years of experience in finance roles within hospitality (preferred)** * **Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP** * Prior experience with **Big Four firms (desirable)** * Proficiency in **international structures** and financial consolidation * Experience in **external audit, regulatory reporting, and consolidated financial statements** * **Basic–intermediate knowledge of national and international tax legislation** * **Intermediate English proficiency** * **Advanced Excel skills** * ERP experience (Odoo preferred) **Soft Skills:** * Leadership. * Analytical thinking. * Working under pressure. * Effective communication. * Proactivity. **Desirable / Plus Experience:** * Familiarity with the hospitality sector. * CPA, ACCA, or IFRS certifications.
