Position Summary: We are seeking an Editorial Designer to create print and digital content, collaborate with the editorial team, and support advertising efforts at a leading manufacturing company. Founded in 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the launch of Modern Machine Shop magazine, it remains today the world’s foremost publication for the metalworking and machine tool industry in North America. Currently, we publish two magazines in the Mexican market: ***Modern Machine Shop México*** and ***Plastics Technology México***, and host several proprietary events: ***Meximold*** and ***Plastics Recycling LATAM***. **REQUIREMENTS:** · Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field (degree required) · Minimum 2 years of experience in editorial design (magazines, books, catalogs) · Excellent spelling and writing skills · Strong typographic expertise · Adherence to deadlines · Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) · Portfolio demonstrating strong grid usage, editorial hierarchy, and effective use of white space · Advanced English proficiency **COMPETENCIES:** · Attention to detail and organizational skills · Ability to work under pressure · Verbal and written communication skills · Teamwork · Adaptability and problem-solving skills 1\. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Editorial design: Layout of articles and feature stories for our print and digital editions. · Cover design and visual guidelines development. · Grid system management, typography, and editorial hierarchy. · Preparation and proofing of print-ready files. · Collaboration with the editorial team. · Support for the Advertising Department (review of monthly digital product reports, review of digital banners for the following month, scheduling of banners on websites / e-newsletters). \*This position is not limited to the responsibilities listed above.
