**Job Objective** Design, implement, and monitor a **small-scale experimental cricket farming pilot project** for the production of **cricket flour**. The main objective is to **obtain real data on yield, costs, growth conditions, and optimal breeding and drying processes** to evaluate the feasibility of scaling up production. **Main Responsibilities** * Install and maintain an **experimental cricket farm** (small space, 5–10 m²). * Design and record **breeding parameters**: temperature, humidity, density, feeding, reproductive cycles, and mortality. * Prepare **weekly reports** on results, incidents, and observations. * Evaluate **types of feed** and their effect on cricket growth and quality. * Participate in basic **processing trials**: drying, grinding, and storage of crickets. * Control sanitary conditions and biosecurity in the experimental area. * Collaborate in the development of a **procedures manual** and technical recommendations. * Present results and suggestions to the project supervisor or investor. * **Candidate Profile** * **Education:** Graduate in Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science, or Biotechnology. * **Residence:** Must reside in Mérida or the metropolitan area. * **Experience:** Not essential (experience with insects, aquaculture, or bioconversion will be valued). * **Desired Skills:** * Scientific curiosity and strong observation skills. * Organization and precision in experimental records. * Ability to work with small animals. * Problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements. * Willingness to learn and work independently.
