We are bridging two worlds—advancing toward more sustainable energy sources while helping provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed today. **Purpose** ------------- Civil Engineer with solid experience in designing pipelines for natural gas and fuel transportation, responsible for developing and supervising basic and detailed engineering, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices in the **Oil \& Gas** industry from project conception through delivery. **Key Responsibilities** -------------------------------------------- * Develop and review basic and detailed engineering for natural gas transportation systems. * Verify compliance with minimum safety distances, special crossings, and topographic conditions. * Prepare calculation reports for special crossings (roads, railways) and buoyancy control. * Design layout plans, profiles, special crossings, technical specifications, and descriptive reports. * Participate in field surveys and topographic surveys for route alignment and location. * Support preparation of engineering estimates and quantities of work. * Perform pipe wall thickness calculations and risk analysis due to diameter changes. * Prepare location class reports and define pipe lengths by class, thickness, coating, and construction method. * Propose and evaluate route changes based on technical conditions and risks. * Preliminary design of access roads, acceleration and deceleration lanes for surface facilities (compression stations, block valves, among others). * Ensure compliance with current regulations and applicable international standards. **What You’ll Bring** ------------------ * Proven 5 to 10 years of experience in gas pipeline and multiproduct pipeline design. * In-depth knowledge of national and international standards for pipeline design and construction. * Ability to interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards. * Skills to coordinate field and office work, integrating results into final design. **✅** **Mandatory Requirements** --------------------------------- * Degree in Civil Engineering. * 5–10 years of experience in pipeline design for gas and fuel transportation. * Knowledge of standards: + **NOM\-007\-ASEA\-2016** (Design, construction, operation and maintenance of pipelines) + **ASME B31\.8** – Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems + **API 5L** – Line Pipe + **API 1104** – Welding of Pipelines + **API 1102** – Steel Pipelines Crossing Railroads and Highways * Software proficiency: + AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D + Global Mapper + Google Earth Pro + Advanced Excel * Intermediate English (ability to read and interpret technical documentation). * Experience in the **Oil \& Gas** sector. * **Ideally** * Experience in EPC or EPCM projects. * Participation in hydrocarbon transportation projects in multicultural environments. * Additional certifications in pipeline design or international standards. **Education, Qualifications, Accreditation, Training** ------------------------------------------------------- * Civil Engineering (professional degree required). * Formal training in applicable ASEA, ASME and API standards. * Complementary training in design and operation of natural gas transportation systems.
