**General Information** Position: Research and Development Engineer Department: Development Reports to: Leader Works in team with: Development staff, raw materials personnel, and internal customers Location: Headquarters, Las liebres, Tlaquepaque. Position type: Full-time, on-site Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm With availability to extend working hours in case of emergency **Job Objectives:** Create new developments meeting customer needs and carry out improvement projects regarding the performance and quality of products manufactured by General Product's. **Job Requirements:** **Education:** Chemical Engineering or related field * Desired: SAP knowledge **Experience:** Minimum 6 months in a similar position, preferably in manufacturing or quality control companies (desirable) **Technical Skills (desirable):** * Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 * Familiarity with laboratory equipment * Intermediate Excel and Word skills **Soft Skills:** Service attitude, attention to detail, organization, assertive communication, teamwork, empathy, and commitment. **Main Responsibilities:** 1.- Evaluate materials from new raw material suppliers. 2.- Participate in process optimization. 3.- Archive, preserve, and maintain records derived from Research and Development activities. 4.- Participate in tracking corrective and preventive action reports and/or customer non-conformities. 5.- Prepare and update material safety data sheets. 6.- Improve work methods, manage resources assigned to the Research and Development Department while preserving environmental care. 7.- Support Production, Quality Control, International Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales departments to meet customer needs. 8.- Report results of assigned projects to the Research and Development Leader. 9.- Verify that manufactured products meet customer requirements. 10.- Prepare and control records of product test results according to the quality system. 11.- Complete all records required by the Integrated Management System applicable to the area. 12.- Promote ideas for continuous improvement. 13.- Use established safety equipment. 14.- Verify that all equipment used in the development area is in good condition and functioning properly. 15.- Keep the work area clean. **Department Indicators (KPIs)** 72% of projects accepted WE OFFER SAVINGS FUND GROCERY VOUCHERS CONTINUOUS TRAINING SUBSIDIZED DINING ROOM UNIFORMS FAMILY MEDICAL SERVICES Position type: Full-time, indefinite term Salary: $15,000.00 - $17,000.00 per month Benefits: * Savings fund * Free parking * Discounted dining service * Free uniforms * Grocery vouchers Work location: On-site employment
