**Digestive System** **Job Objective:** Provide students with comprehensive knowledge about the anatomy, physiology, and functioning of the human digestive system, in order to understand how food is processed and absorbed to supply essential nutrients to the body. **Activities:** * Learn about common diseases and disorders of the digestive system, such as ulcers, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, among others, and how they affect its function. * Study how the digestive system impacts the body's overall nutrition, nutrient utilization, and how proper diet can optimize digestive system function. * Study the structures that make up the digestive system, such as the mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, among others, and how each of these organs contributes to the digestive process. * Monitor each student's progress. **Requirements:** * Must hold a degree and professional license in nutrition or related field. * Master’s degree in clinical nutrition with degree and license; Doctorate in clinical nutrition. * Three years of teaching experience. * Familiarity with systems and platforms such as Teams, Blackboard, or similar is desirable. **Competencies:** * Strong service orientation * Effective communication * Organization * Ethics **Why work at UVM?** We are the largest private university in Mexico, with 65 years of academic experience, social commitment, and professional vision.
