Job Description: Job Profile: Nighttime Traffic Coordinator (Containers) Job Objective Supervise and monitor transportation operations during the nighttime shift, ensuring proper execution of routes, departures, customer service, and incident control in container movement. Guarantee operational continuity, effective communication with coordinators and operators, and immediate response to emergencies or on-route situations. Functions and Responsibilities Supervise and monitor traffic coordinators during the nighttime shift, ensuring adherence to assigned itineraries and loads. Verify and control scheduled vehicle departures, ensuring trips occur according to established timetables. Monitor the status of ongoing trips, maintaining constant communication with coordinators and operators. Follow up with customers on cargo progress, deliveries, port arrivals, or container movements. Address and resolve nighttime emergencies, including mechanical failures, accidents, delays, or on-route incidents. Coordinate immediate actions in case of issues related to fuel loading, seals, releases, or documentation. Supervise port and yard operations during the shift, verifying container availability and loading/unloading times. Report any relevant incidents or operational deviations to the Traffic Manager or Operations Manager. Maintain constant communication with monitoring, maintenance, and security departments to ensure operational continuity. Generate shift reports, including completed departures, incidents, downtime, and corrective actions. Verify proper handling of waybills, manifests, and container documentation. Ensure compliance with company internal policies and safety standards during the nighttime shift. Promote teamwork, discipline, and effective communication among nighttime coordinators and operators. Requirements Education: Completed high school diploma or technical degree (preferably in Logistics, Transportation, or related field). Experience: Minimum 2 years in traffic, coordination, or transportation monitoring roles, preferably in port operations or container handling. Specific Knowledge: Port operations and container logistics. Monitoring of local and international routes. Fuel control and emergency management. Transportation documentation (waybills, manifests, seals, delivery notes). Customer communication and cargo status monitoring. Use of tracking platforms (GPS, SIESEL, or others).
