Compliance with food hygiene and safety standards ***Hotel Valle de México is seeking*** **KITCHEN ASSISTANT** **Job Objective** To assist in food preparation, cleaning of utensils and work areas, as well as proper storage of supplies, following food hygiene and safety standards. **Main Responsibilities** * Assist in ingredient preparation (washing, peeling, cutting, measuring). * Keep the work area and utensils clean and organized. * Wash dishes, kitchen equipment, and surfaces. * Assist the cook or chef with basic tasks during service. * Properly inspect and store perishable and non-perishable products. * Comply with established hygiene and safety standards. * Dispose of waste properly. * Perform other tasks assigned by the chef or immediate supervisor. **Job Requirements** **Education:** * Completed secondary school (preferred) * Courses in food handling or cooking (preferred) **Experience:** * 6 months to 1 year in a similar position (not mandatory) **Technical Knowledge:** * Good hygiene practices and food handling * Basic knowledge of kitchen utensils and equipment * Basic cooking techniques (cutting, cooking, cleaning) **Skills:** * Teamwork * Speed and efficiency * Attention to detail * Ability to work under pressure * Service-oriented attitude * Organization Employment type: Indefinite-term position Salary: Up to $9,200.00 per month Benefits: * Cafeteria service Workplace: On-site employment
