Technical support to production and statistical control General Description We are seeking a Process Engineer with experience in aluminum casting and production process control, responsible for ensuring proper operation, continuous improvement, and compliance with quality standards in casting processes, as well as documentation development, statistical process control, and technical support to production. Main Responsibilities * Inspection, receipt, and release of raw materials and consumables for the casting process. * Release of products in accordance with technical specifications. * Control and reporting of non-conforming products under quality management systems. * Development of corrective action plans jointly with Production and Maintenance. * Conducting laboratory tests: chemical analysis, metallographic analysis, grain size determination, and related tests. * Designing and scheduling casting charges based on inventory levels and standard charge configurations. * Monitoring and controlling process parameters via systems (SCADA or others). * Preparation and updating of process documentation. * Development and evaluation of suppliers of raw materials and consumables. * Tracking of key performance indicators and statistical process control. Requirements * Education: Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. * Minimum experience: 1–2 years in casting processes (aluminum preferred). * Technical knowledge in: * Metal casting and vertical casting. * Metallographic testing. * Heat treatment of aluminum. * Statistical process control (SPC). * Interpretation of specifications and engineering drawings. * Intermediate–advanced Excel proficiency. * Experience with process monitoring systems (SCADA) is desirable.
