Traffic and Customs Manager
Position Summary:
Plan, direct, and control traffic, logistics, and customs compliance operations, ensuring proper handling of imports and exports under the IMMEX program.

**Position Objective**
Plan, direct, and control the company’s **traffic, logistics, and customs compliance** operations, ensuring correct handling of imports and exports under the **IMMEX program**, compliance with current customs legislation, and inventory control through the **MILENIUM system (Annex 24 and 30\)**, thereby guaranteeing operational continuity, reduction of fiscal risks, and cost optimization.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
* Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, or related field.
* Minimum 8 years of experience.
* Experience in exporting materials.
* Knowledge of customs entry forms (pedimentos).
* Knowledge of International Trade Laws and the Customs Law.
* Knowledge or experience with IMMEX.
* Flexible working hours (availability to work overtime).
* Fluent English (100%).
* Age 30–45 years.
* Personal vehicle.
**Main Responsibilities and Activities
1. Customs Management and Legal Compliance**
* Administer temporary imports, exports, returns, and changes of customs regime.
* Ensure compliance with the **Customs Law, General Rules of Foreign Trade (RGCE), USMCA (T-MEC), and other applicable regulations**.
* Validate tariff classifications, customs values, origin, and correct application of taxes.
* Supervise the proper preparation and review of **customs entry forms (pedimentos)**.
* Coordinate and evaluate the performance of the customs team.
**2. IMMEX Control and Use of the MILENIUM System**
* Supervise the proper operation of the **MILENIUM system**:
* **Annex 24:** inventory control, automatic discharges, BOMs, consumption, and returns.
* **Annex 30:** deferred VAT/IEPS control, balances, and due dates.
* Ensure reconciliation among:
* Customs entry forms (pedimentos)
* MILENIUM system
* Physical inventory
* Identify, correct, and document discrepancies and inconsistencies.
* Prepare reports and evidence for **SAT and internal audits**.
**3. Traffic and Logistics**
* Plan and coordinate national and international transportation of materials and finished goods.
* Negotiate rates with carriers and logistics providers.
* Monitor dispatch, border crossing, and delivery times to avoid production disruptions.
* Control logistics documentation (invoices, packing lists, Carta Porte, Bill of Lading).
* Optimize logistics costs and transit times.
**4. Leadership and Interdepartmental Coordination**
* Lead and develop the traffic and customs team.
* Coordinate with the following departments:
* Procurement
* Planning
* Production
* Warehouse
* Finance
* Train staff on customs topics, IMMEX, and MILENIUM usage.
**5. Control, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement**
* Establish and monitor **KPIs**:
* IMMEX compliance
* Inventory discrepancies
* Logistics costs
* Fines and fiscal contingencies
* Prevent sanctions, PAMA, and fiscal risks.
* Implement continuous improvements in traffic and customs control processes.
