




DESCRIPTION ### **Job Description: Maintenance Mechanical Technician (Laboratory – Mine, Durango)** **Initial contract duration: 3 months** The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on laboratory equipment located within the mining unit, ensuring its safe, continuous operation in compliance with site operational standards. #### **Main Responsibilities** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, mills, crushing systems, agitators, sample preparation equipment, etc.). * Diagnose mechanical failures and propose timely technical solutions. * Carry out adjustment, lubrication, alignment, replacement of parts, and repair of mechanical components. * Assist in the maintenance of laboratory auxiliary systems (ventilation, supports, light structures, and basic pneumatic systems). * Ensure equipment remains in optimal operating condition to prevent unplanned downtime. * Maintain maintenance records and reports in the client's format and according to laboratory procedures. * Verify proper installation and operation of equipment after each intervention. * Comply with mining safety regulations, internal procedures, and laboratory area guidelines. * Collaborate with technical staff, analysts, and supervisors on scheduled and emergency tasks. * Keep the work area clean, organized, and equipped with tools in good condition. #### **Job Requirements** * Technical education in Industrial Mechanics, Mechanical Maintenance, or related field. * Previous experience in mechanical equipment maintenance, preferably in mining, metallurgical laboratories, or industrial plants. * Knowledge of failure diagnosis, basic interpretation of mechanical manuals, and use of measuring tools. * Safe handling of hand tools and mine work equipment. * Availability to work on-site in Durango (shifts and schedule as per client requirements). * Focus on safety, responsibility, and teamwork. #### **Desired Competencies** * Analytical and problem-solving skills. * Effective communication with technical personnel and supervisors. * Organization, discipline, and adherence to procedures. * Adaptability to mining environments and working under pressure.
