Job Purpose To plan, design, supervise, and optimize civil engineering works within mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost standards, thereby supporting operational continuity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design and supervise construction of mining infrastructure (access roads, tailings dams, platforms, foundations, drainage systems, etc.). Coordinate field civil works activities, ensuring adherence to drawings and technical specifications. Manage and control project budgets, costs, and schedules. Perform technical analyses and structural calculations related to civil works in mining. Supervise contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and contractual compliance. Verify compliance with industrial safety, environmental, and mining regulatory requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary departments (geology, operations, maintenance, safety). Prepare construction progress reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation. Identify technical and operational risks, proposing preventive and corrective solutions. Participate in planning and development of new projects or mine expansion. Requirements Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (certified). Specialization in geotechnics, structures, or mining is desirable. Knowledge of logistics, Minimum 5 years of experience in: Civil projects in mining or heavy infrastructure. Field construction supervision. Contractor and budget management. Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (certified). Special Skills and Knowledge Design and construction of civil works in mining. Soil mechanics and geotechnics. Mining and environmental safety regulations. Construction control, cost management, and project administration.
