Network Performance Engineer

Job Summary: Ensure network efficiency, stability, and high service quality, focusing on performance measurement, analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting. Key Highlights: 1. Network performance optimization and troubleshooting. 2. Design and implementation of new network technologies. 3. Support to the NOC in resolving performance issues. **Purpose of the Role** Ensure the network operates efficiently, stably, and with high service quality. Responsibilities focus on measuring, analyzing, optimizing, and resolving network performance issues. **Key Challenges** * Monitoring focused on network analysis, capacity, and performance. * Trunk link analysis. * Identification of bottlenecks, saturation in access/core devices, and trunk links. * Trunk link expansion according to demand and forecasting. * Route reconfiguration, load balancing, and architectural changes. * Hardware and software upgrades of infrastructure. * Definition and implementation of new network technologies. * Design and implementation of optical transport projects (DWDM). * Network growth and expansion forecasting. * Support to the NOC and support teams in resolving performance issues. * Tracking and integration of third-party leased trunk links. **Profile Requirements** * **Academic Background:** Systems Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences and Technologies, or related field. * **Experience:** At least 1–2 years of experience as a network engineer, NOC engineer, or in related areas with a networking focus (switching \& routing). * **Technical Skills:** * Networking knowledge. * Google Suite * Intermediate English * Configuration and administration of network devices (Routing \& Switching) * Network protocols (BGP, ISIS, IP, SNMP, ICMP, SSH, TELNET, LACP, TCP/IP, UDP) * Advanced network monitoring and management tools (PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds) * Network security (ACL) * Network troubleshooting. * IP address management for IPv4 and IPv6 (DHCP, DNS, subnetting, and VLSM) * Network performance optimization * **Competencies:** * Critical incident management * Effective communication * Teamwork * Time management * Data analysis * Flexibility and adaptability * Stress management * Attention to detail * Documentation ability **Now that you can see yourself in this role, apply and join the IENTC team.** **Important:** If you meet most of the requirements and are excited about the challenge, we want to meet you.
