Job Summary: ALTEN Mexico is seeking an Automotive Mechanical Designer to design and develop lighting systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and development of automotive lighting systems and components. 2. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (electrical, software). 3. We are looking for an Automotive Mechanical Designer (9013\) to join our team. This position is responsible for designing and developing lighting systems and components that meet internal, customer, and regulatory specifications and requirements. **Main Responsibilities:** Responsible for analyzing 3D models and engineering drawings from external sources to assess their technical feasibility. Responsible for collaborating with electrical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate mechanical and electrical systems. Responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including design specifications, DFMEA, open issues lists, test plans, and technical reports. Responsible for developing clear and detailed presentation materials to communicate complex engineering concepts to cross-functional team members. **Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design for the automotive industry. Proficiency in CATIA CAD software. Experience in plastic injection molding. Automotive lighting experience is a plus. Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural strength calculations. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing technologies applicable to the automotive industry. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with other departments. Capacity to manage projects and meet tight deadlines. Intermediate English (B2\) **Desirable:** Knowledge of suspension systems, transmissions, or similar designs.
