**As a Laundry Operator, you will be responsible for:** * Managing cleaning chemical products such as detergents, fabric softeners, and bleaches, ensuring they are used in the correct amounts and safely, maintaining adequate inventory levels of these products and placing orders when necessary. * Complying with safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring all procedures are carried out according to current regulations. This includes proper use of personal protective equipment, safe handling of chemicals, and adherence to sanitary measures to prevent accidents. * Receiving shift handovers, pending tasks, instructions, and recent information posted on the notice board. * Maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area. * Sorting garments before washing, separating clothes by color; this classification is crucial to maintain item quality and prevent color mixing or garment damage. * Monitoring the condition of garments during washing, drying, and ironing processes, checking for damages, persistent stains, or any other imperfections. If any issues are detected, the operator must intervene immediately to correct them. * Operating washing and drying machines, following established procedures for each type of garment and material. * Always monitoring machinery during operation for any emergencies; if leaving the area, must communicate with immediate supervisor so equipment can be properly attended to. * Cleaning lint ducts of dryers daily. * Supervising the proper functioning of machines and equipment, performing necessary checks to ensure they operate efficiently and without faults.
