Description

Responsible for fabricating wooden structures and components. Performs tasks such as cutting, assembling, sanding, and varnishing various products according to the hotel's requirements. As a **Carpenter**, you will be responsible for: * Designing and manufacturing wooden furniture, doors, and other wooden products using various carpentry techniques and tools—including saws, drills, sanders, etc. * Measuring and cutting wooden materials according to project specifications, which involves interpreting blueprints to ensure precise dimensions and accurate cuts. * Repairing damaged wooden furniture or structures, including doors, windows, chairs, etc., or replacing worn-out components. * Applying finishes to wooden products using varnishes, lacquers, or stains, ensuring a high-quality final result. * Maintaining and repairing hand and power tools and equipment—performing regular maintenance on saws, drills, and other manual and electric tools to ensure they remain in good working condition for safety and efficiency. * Performing regular and appropriate maintenance of wooden furniture to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. * Continuously monitoring task progress to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. * Tracking completed work, prioritizing reports that cause inconvenience to Owners and guests, and addressing all issues affecting hotel operations. * Responding immediately to service calls for problem resolution, performing work without disturbing Owners and guests. * Managing material inventory, ensuring sufficient stock is available and placing orders when necessary. * Complying with occupational safety and hygiene regulations, always wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following guidelines to prevent workplace accidents. * Planning and organizing time effectively to meet project delivery deadlines, managing available resources appropriately. **To perform this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:** * Technical training * 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry. * Effective communication * Problem-solving skills * Responsibility * Proactiveness * Teamwork * Service-oriented attitude **In this position, it would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:** * Proficiency in safely and efficiently using a wide range of tools—including hammers, saws, levels, etc. * Ability to read and interpret design drawings, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure work complies with required specifications and dimensions. * Knowledge of different types of finishes—including varnishes, lacquers, etc.—and their correct application.
