**Position Purpose** Manage, plan, and control activities related to the quality management system in footwear manufacturing, ensuring compliance with quality standards established by the company, customers, and industry regulations. Promote continuous improvement of production processes and guarantee that the final product meets design specifications, comfort, durability, and appearance requirements. **Main Responsibilities** * Design, implement, and maintain a **Quality Management System** specific to the footwear industry. * Supervise the **inspection of materials, cutting, soles, adhesives, and components**, ensuring compliance with technical specifications. * Coordinate the **evaluation of suppliers** (raw materials, lasts, leathers, soles, adhesives, etc.). * Monitor quality at all stages of the production process: **cutting, closing, lasting, and finishing.** * Establish and control **critical inspection points (CIP)** on the production line. * Manage **non-conformities**, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions. * Develop and implement **quality indicators and customer satisfaction metrics.** * Lead **internal and external audits**, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements. * Coordinate tests for material resistance, durability, colorfastness, and adhesion. * Train staff on quality topics, good manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement. * Promote a **quality culture** focused on attention to detail, efficiency, and end-customer satisfaction. **Candidate Profile** **Education:** * Industrial Engineering, Production Management Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields. * Desired specialization or diploma in **Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement.** **Experience:** * Minimum **5 years of experience in the footwear industry** (factories, contract manufacturers, or industrial workshops). * Proven experience in process control of **cutting, closing, lasting, and finishing.** * Knowledge of **national and international footwear quality standards** (e.g., NOM, ISO 9001, REACH, export regulations). * Proficiency in **production and quality indicators**, defect analysis, and material rejection. **Technical Skills:** * Footwear production processes. * Quality control of materials (leather, textiles, soles, adhesives). * Statistical methods and continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, Ishikawa, Pareto). * Visual and functional inspection of finished products. * Process audits and document management. **Competencies and Skills:** * Leadership and teamwork. * Effective communication with design, production, and procurement departments. * Analytical ability and problem-solving skills. * Attention to detail and customer focus. * Planning, organization, and results orientation. **Suggested Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Percentage of rejected or reworked products. * Compliance rate with internal audit plans. * Non-conformance index per supplier. * Average response time to non-conformities. * Customer satisfaction level and specification compliance. * Reduction in process waste or loss.
