Position Summary: We are seeking a Quality Engineer to reduce customer complaints, ensure compliance with performance indicators, and prevent non-conformities during external audits. Knowledge of new product launches, engineering changes, Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, drawing interpretation, supplier management.**Job Description:** The primary responsibilities of the Quality Engineer for our plant in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico will be: * Reducing customer complaints, meeting line performance indicators, and reducing scrap. * Preventing non-conformities during external audits. * Developing Shainin projects and cost-saving initiatives. * Addressing complaints from external and internal customers. * Tracking warranty reports. * Attending meetings and following up on GMPs. * Reporting problem resolutions to customers (CARs). * Proposing improvements to reduce customer-related reports. * Implementing quality system improvement projects on production lines. * Performing all other assigned tasks. **Required Skills and Education** * Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 2 years of experience performing this role within the automotive industry. * Knowledge of quality systems and experience developing Shainin and cost-saving projects. * Experience applying Core Tools, interpreting engineering drawings, tracking corrective actions, and conducting IATF internal audits (desirable). * Proficiency with required software systems: Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, Power BI. * Experience applying problem-solving methodologies (5 Why, 8D, QRQC 5W\+2H). * Experience conducting external IATF / Q4\ audits. * Intermediate English (conversational). **About AAM:** As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
