Productivity and Profitability: Implement continuous improvements that enhance productivity, directly contributing to the profitability of our plant in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico. Key Responsibilities: Ø Propose and execute actions to maximize machining process performance: Lathes, CNC, Broaching machines, etc. Ø Participate in the development of process sheets, error proofing, and work instructions applicable to the assigned tooling area. Ø Monitor OEE/FTQ impacts and costs related to cutting tools for each machining line, to establish action plans together with corresponding continuous improvement teams. Ø Actively participate in reducing cutting tool CPU. Ø Develop cost-saving projects related to cutting tools and tooling in general; these must be documented for corporate approval. Ø Develop and implement training for tool crib job setters. Ø Develop and design new concepts for cutting tools. Ø Maintain and improve documentation related to tool setup. Ø Ensure compliance with defined procedures for the area. Ø Ensure supply of pre-set tools for machining lines. Ø Knowledge of FMEA. Ø Participate in the acquisition of new technologies, equipment, and processes to achieve higher cutting tool efficiency. Ø Proficiency with data collection software and statistical analysis tools to support efficient decision-making (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc). Ø Provide manufacturing support, including weekends and/or holidays. Ø Manage cutting tool suppliers. Ø Administer hourly associate roles to align technical support with manufacturing requirements. Ø Ensure proper distribution of responsibilities within the tool crib technical team. Ø Ensure cutting tools are requested timely and maintained at appropriate inventory levels. Ø Ensure proper storage, distribution, and disposal of cutting tools. **Required Skills and Education** Mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronic or related engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles within the automotive industry.
