**MECHANIC ASSISTANT**

**Responsibilities:**
Maintain the vehicle fleet in the best possible condition regarding safety, functionality, and appearance, ensuring reliability of units, engines, and mechanical systems to sustain optimal operations.
**Duties:**
* Perform 100% physical-mechanical inspections on the entire vehicle fleet according to the predetermined format “Pre-Departure Check List”
* Record information completely, accurately, and legibly in the “Pre-Departure Check List” documentation
* Submit the “Pre-Departure Check List” forms to each plant manager for forwarding to General Management and document control
* Ensure daily that vehicles maintain optimal levels of engine oil, hydraulic oil, brake fluid, coolant, tire air pressure, and physical tire conditions
* Submit daily reports on issues identified during inspections requiring specialized attention from the mechanical workshop
* Ensure timely handling of reports submitted to the mechanical workshop
* Assist the mechanical workshop in maintaining order and cleanliness of assigned areas
* Support the mechanical workshop in executing preventive and corrective maintenance
* Conduct monthly tire traffic-light assessments and share results with the corresponding plant manager
* Monitor and track tire replacements
* Properly handle and care for assigned tools
* Maintain daily communication with mechanical workshop coordinators and plant managers
**Requirements:**
* Completed secondary education or technical degree in automotive mechanics
* 1 year of experience in similar positions
* General mechanical knowledge
* Proficiency in using preventive maintenance forms for motor vehicles
* Proficiency in using workshop tools and equipment
* Ability to drive 3-ton vehicles (driver’s license)
* Valid driver’s license
* Vehicle maintenance knowledge
* Basic Microsoft Office package knowledge
* Proactive, committed, and responsible
* Age: between 24 and 50 years old
* Competencies: Learning ability, Decision-making capacity, Initiative
