We are looking for your talent, join our team and start your journey today! **Position Overview** The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for establishing tactical plans and efficiently managing resources to achieve plant quality objectives and maintain quality certifications. The Senior Quality Engineer must be capable of making decisions and negotiating with other departments from a strategic perspective for the benefit of the plant while maintaining the integrity of the quality system and eliminating product quality risks. The Senior Quality Engineer must be a team player with strong oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English to prevent issues and serve as a leader for work teams regarding quality-related tasks and disciplines. When assigned, the Senior Quality Engineer must take and implement necessary controls during the introduction of new products (NPD/NPI), engineering changes (ECN), deviations (DR), and corrective actions (CI, 8D, etc.) with customers, as well as serve as the customer interface on quality matters. **Responsibilities:** * Plans and maintains internal KPIs that support the quality management, plant, and division KPIs. * Takes action and leads cross-functional teams to ensure corrective actions are effective and permanent. * Plans, manages, and balances resources for efficient operation of quality teams under their responsibility. * Trains quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors so their competencies and knowledge support achievement of quality objectives. * Certifies personnel in critical operations (inspections, testing, and calibrations). * Establishes, plans, and executes cost-saving projects for the quality department and plant as part of the continuous improvement strategy. * Complies with applicable company policies, regulations, and safety procedures. * Plans, executes, and follows up on NPD/NPI controls. * Plans, executes, and follows up on ECN controls. * Plans, executes, and follows up on DR controls. * Plans, executes, follows up, and communicates requested corrective actions to customers. * Completes all required company trainings. * Follows up on corrective actions involving ISO 9001 compliance. **Authority:** * Request to stop shipments onsite and in transit when product risks exist. * Make decisions regarding acceptance status when established criteria are unclear, including overriding previously made decisions by the quality engineer. * Authorize deviations from the production process under established schemes and procedures. * Certify personnel in critical operations (inspections, testing, and calibrations). * Initiate internal corrective actions when necessary. **Basic Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field aligned with business platform. * Basic statistical knowledge using Minitab. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality. * Conversational English. * Knowledge of analytical problem-solving methods. * Knowledge of ISO 9001. * Familiarity with IPC 610 acceptance criteria. **Preferred Requirements:** * Master's degree in Quality or Management. * Intermediate statistical skills (ANOVA, DOE). * Certification in IPC 610 acceptance criteria. * Experience in other departments. * Six Sigma Green Belt certification. * ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training. **Our Commitment to Our People** Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
