




Job Summary: Manages human and material resources of the engineering department to ensure availability and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and guestroom equipment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leads engineering resource management in the hospitality industry. 2. Ensures quality and availability of hotel assets. 3. Supervises technical teams and unionized staff. Summary Manages the engineering department’s human and material resources under his/her responsibility to ensure availability, presentation, and proper maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, building management systems (BMS), and guestrooms; ensuring service quality and availability of all property assets. Qualifications **Education** * University degree in: + Mechanical Engineering + Electrical Engineering + Industrial Engineering + Electromechanical Engineering + Or related field * Master’s degree in Administration, Project Management, or Engineering is desirable. **Experience** * Minimum **6 years of experience in the hospitality industry**, specifically in Engineering and Maintenance departments. * Proven experience supervising technical teams. * Experience operating full-service hotels. * Development of predictive maintenance programs for guestrooms, utility centers, general operational areas, and electromechanical equipment. * Budget management, expense control, and maintenance planning. * Experience managing unionized personnel. **Languages** * Intermediate-to-advanced English (80%) – capable of conducting technical conversations and preparing reports. **Availability** * Full-time availability. * Ability to respond promptly to operational emergencies. **Technical Knowledge** * Solid knowledge of: + HVAC + Electrical systems + Plumbing + Electromechanical systems + Building Management Systems (BMS) * Fire protection systems * Regulatory standards: + NOM + STPS + ASHRAE + OSHA + NFPA * Occupational safety and hygiene * Environmental certifications (experience with Green Key or similar programs is desirable) * Preventive and corrective maintenance * Vendor and contractor management * Performance indicator (KPI) management **Tools and Software** * Microsoft Office * Excel (intermediate-to-advanced level) * Word * AutoCAD * Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is desirable. **Competencies and Skills** * Service-oriented attitude * Leadership and teamwork * Planning and organization * Decision-making * Results orientation * Effective communication
