**Professional Profile**
Telecommunications Engineer, specialized in transportation infrastructure,
with experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of railway
communication networks and signaling systems. Expert in radio technologies
and optical fiber networks.
**Technical Competencies**
\- **Radio and Transmission Systems**: In-depth knowledge of GSM\-R (Global System for Mobile Communications \- Railways) (current standard)
and migration toward FRMCS networks (future technology for the sector).
\- **Signaling**: Integration of telecommunications systems with interlocking subsystems and ATP (Automatic Train Protection).
\- **Network Infrastructure**: Design of backbone optical fiber networks, microwave systems, IP networks, SDH/SONET, and structured cabling in tunnels,
stations, and track areas.
\- **Auxiliary Systems**: Operational telephony, closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems for platforms and level crossings, public address systems, and
access control.
\- **Interoperability**: Knowledge of national and American interoperability regulations and standards (ERTMS/ETCS).
Key Responsibilities
\- **Design**: Review and validation of network architecture projects, radio link calculations, and link budget analysis for open-line coverage.
\- **Supervision**: Assist in coordinating and monitoring the installation of physical infrastructure (ducting, cabling, antenna installation, and wayside equipment).
\- **Commissioning (T\&C)**: Oversight of integration testing between telecommunications systems and rolling stock as well as Regulation and Control Centers (CRC).
**Maintenance and SLAs**: Technical support in defining preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure maximum network availability.
**Education and Certifications**
\- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Communications and
\- Electronics, Telematics, or related field.
\- Software and Management Tools
\- Radio frequency planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Mentum Planet).
\- Network management systems (NMS) and traffic monitoring.
\- CAD environments and BIM modeling tools applied to infrastructure.
