Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the availability and optimal condition of injection molds through preventive and corrective maintenance to guarantee part quality and prevent production stoppages. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain injection molds to ensure the quality of plastic parts. 2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on molds. 3. Diagnose faults and repair complex molds. Molder Objective Summary Ensure the availability and optimal condition of injection molds for production. Responsible for executing the preventive maintenance plan (cleaning, lubrication, seal replacement) and corrective maintenance (cavity repairs, clamping adjustments, electrical system repairs) to ensure plastic part quality and avoid line stoppages. Main Responsibilities Disassembly and Cleaning: Disassemble complex molds for deep cleaning and removal of gas or polymer residues. Preventive Maintenance: Inspect cooling circuits (flow and leak tests) and lubricate moving components (ejector pins, slides, guide pillars). Fault Diagnosis: Identify root causes of part defects (flash, short shots, sink marks) related to mold condition. Corrective Maintenance: Adjust inserts, repair damaged cores, and ensure the ejection system operates without jamming. Administration: Complete maintenance logs and manage spare parts inventory (springs, bolts, seals). Requirements: Experience: 5 years of experience in manufacturing, repair, maintenance, and adjustment of plastic injection molds.
