




The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing calibration, adjustment, and preventive maintenance of measuring instruments and standards, ensuring traceability and compliance with **ISO/IEC 17025** and the company's Quality Management System. The position requires technical precision and strict adherence to metrology procedures. **Key Responsibilities** * **Perform Calibrations:** Conduct internal and/or external (on-site) calibrations of measurement equipment within assigned measurement areas (e.g., Dimensional, Pressure, Temperature, Electrical, **Torque**). * **Procedures and Documentation:** Accurately and promptly document calibration results, including issuing Calibration Certificates, Data Sheets, and Calibration Labels. * **Standards Management:** Maintain the inventory and condition of laboratory reference standards, ensuring their proper traceability to CENAM or international standards. * **Uncertainty Estimation:** Apply basic principles of measurement uncertainty estimation to each performed calibration. * **Preventive Maintenance:** Perform cleaning, inspection, and minor adjustments on test equipment and laboratory standards. * **Customer Support:** Interact with production and engineering personnel to resolve metrology-related questions and provide technical support. **Profile Requirements** **Education** * **Technical Degree or TSU (University Higher Technician)** in Metrology, Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field. * *Desirable:* Partial or completed engineering degree in the mentioned fields. **Professional Experience** * Minimum of **2 to 3 years** of experience in a similar role, or in the Quality Control/Metrology department of a manufacturing company. **Essential Technical Knowledge** * Proficient understanding of the **ISO/IEC 17025** standard (or previous versions). * Practical knowledge in at least **two** of the following measurement areas: * **Dimensional** (use of micrometers, calipers, basic CMM, gauge blocks). * **Temperature** (use of reference thermometers, dry-well calibrators, baths). * **Torque/Torsional Force** (calibration of torque wrenches, knowledge of transducers). * **Pressure/Flow/Electrical.** * Operation of data acquisition equipment and metrology software. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (basic GD\&T). **Skills and Competencies** * Attention to detail and high precision when handling instruments. * Problem-solving skills and ability to make technical decisions. * Organizational and time management skills to meet calibration schedules. **We Offer** * Competitive salary based on experience and certifications. * Benefits exceeding legal requirements. * Ongoing training opportunities. * Job stability.
