Coordinate CAPEX projects and propose improvements **Location:** MX – Fab Ocotlán **Years of Experience:** Minimum **2 years** in roles of **Maintenance Supervisor, Team Leader or Coordinator** within manufacturing plants, with direct responsibility for production equipment and technical personnel. **English:** Intermediate level preferred for interpreting technical manuals, interacting with suppliers, or aligning with corporate standards. **Academic Qualification:** Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field. **Position Objective** Coordinate and ensure the **effective operation of the Maintenance department** at the manufacturing plant, guaranteeing the **availability and reliability of installed machinery**, compliance with the **maintenance plan**, proper implementation of **TPM as a maintenance methodology**, and orderly execution of **CAPEX projects** related to equipment acquisition or replacement. The role’s primary objective is to achieve **zero unplanned stoppages**, while simultaneously ensuring personnel development, efficient use of the allocated budget, and compliance with **compliance and safety guidelines**. **A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Coordination Engineer** * Coordinate daily maintenance department operations, ensuring proper allocation of human and technical resources. * Manage direct reports: shift scheduling, attendance tracking, operational reporting, and administrative follow-up on payments. * Supervise the **execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans**, ensuring adherence to scheduled timelines and defined standards. * Review, update and optimize **maintenance plans for installed assets**, ensuring their correct structure and execution. * Lead the **implementation and advancement of TPM** from a maintenance perspective (pillars, routines, standards, operational discipline). * Guarantee **maximum machinery availability for production**, responding promptly to deviations or failures. * Analyze recurring failures, conduct root cause analysis, and track action plans. * Identify requirements for external services, coordinate **tendering processes**, technically validate work performed, and manage contractor payments. * Receive and coordinate **CAPEX projects** from the manufacturing area involving new machinery or replacements, ensuring smooth transition into operation. * Propose and implement **cost-saving, reliability-enhancing and improvement projects**, focused on reducing stoppages, costs and operational risks. * Ensure compliance with **corporate policies, compliance requirements, and control of the budget assigned** to the department. **Primary Job Challenge** Achieve and sustain **0 unplanned stoppages**, through disciplined maintenance management, operational TPM leadership, and continuous strengthening of the technical team. **What Will Make You Successful** * Proven experience in **practical TPM implementation** focused on maintenance. * Ability to **develop, modify and structure maintenance plans**. * Direct leadership of technical teams and experience in their **development and evaluation**. * Operational, analytical, and problem-solving orientation in a plant environment. * Experience in high-availability manufacturing environments. * Administrative discipline in cost control, supplier management and compliance. **Specific Skills and/or Certifications (Advanced Level)** * **TPM (Total Productive Maintenance):** Implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the methodology, including routines, standards and operational discipline. * **AMM (Mechanical Maintenance Management):** Comprehensive asset management, maintenance control, failure analysis and resource optimization. * **Calculation and Design of Mechanical Installations:** Technical analysis, sizing and evaluation of mechanical systems and installations in industrial environments.
