Intermediate to advanced spoken and written English is essential. Candidates must have solid knowledge of general accounting, tax filings (Income Tax, VAT, DIOT), tax regulations, and preparation of financial statements. Regarding software, proficiency in SAP and intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills for data entry, filters, and pivot tables is desirable. Main responsibilities of the position: **Accounting control and analysis** Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prior to monthly closing. Monitor critical accounting accounts and detect errors or inconsistencies. Analyze financial results and prepare management reports. **Tax and regulatory compliance** Ensure accounting complies with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/NIIF). Supervise the proper preparation of tax returns and compliance with obligations before the SAT (Mexican tax authority). Review CFDIs, tax documentation, and supporting accounting records. **Process optimization** Identify and propose improvements in accounting and tax processes. Implement internal controls and standardized procedures to reduce risks. Automate accounting tasks using ERP systems or digital tools. **Financial closing and reporting** Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing for the company or business unit. Prepare reliable financial statements for management or corporate headquarters. Collaborate in internal and external audits. **Interdepartmental coordination** Work with finance, treasury, payroll, procurement, and other departments to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Align accounting and tax policies with the company’s or group’s strategy. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:00 \* availability may vary depending on operations. The established salary is $35,000 gross, with a maximum of $40,000 gross depending on experience, plus statutory benefits from day one and additional benefits such as 50% vacation bonus, 3% savings fund, 13% food vouchers, major medical expense insurance, transportation service if needed, and meal assistance (one meal per day).
