Job Summary: We are seeking an Electronics Engineer with experience in component procurement, negotiation with global suppliers, and project management, reporting to the Procurement Manager. Key Responsibilities: 1. End-to-end management of electronic components and PCB procurement. 2. Price, quality, and terms negotiation with global suppliers. 3. Sourcing hard-to-find components and proposing alternatives to the engineering team. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Manage material, component, product, and investment procurement for electronics—from request-for-quotation stage through final delivery of supplies. Identify suitable suppliers, negotiate and finalize agreements in coordination with the rest of the procurement team. You will report directly to the Company’s Procurement Manager. Specifically, your main responsibilities will include: * Interpreting PCBA BOMs and identifying electronic components (THT, SMT…), mechanical parts, adhesives, etc.; sourcing and purchasing components from the market—such as MOSFETs, microcontrollers, diodes, integrated circuits, etc. * Negotiating prices, quality, and delivery terms, coordinating with Quality and Logistics teams on supplier selection and performance. * Locating hard-to-find or obsolete components in the market and proposing alternatives to the engineering team. * Managing PCB procurement and resolving technical queries with support from Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing. * Project Management: Preparing quotations and price comparisons for prototypes and production; prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and criticality; identifying critical/obsolete/NRND components; communicating key milestones and dates across the organization. * Tracking deliveries, managing shortages, and maintaining relationships with global suppliers. * Ensuring compliance with regulations (RoHS, REACH, ITAR, EAR) and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes. * Visiting global suppliers for evaluation and development when required. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED * Education: Degree in Electronics Engineering. * Proven experience in electronic component procurement and BOM reading, with ability to identify component technologies and families. Knowledge of the market—including manufacturers and distributors—especially in sectors such as defense, power electronics, automotive, and consumer electronics. * Personal competencies: Negotiation, initiative, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. * Languages: Strong communicative skills in English and Spanish. * Desirable knowledge in: + Excel and Pivot Tables. + SAP (user level). + Electronic component databases such as Octopart or FindChips (user level). + Legal aspects related to procurement.
