**Your Job** As an Automation Engineer at Molex, you will play a critical role in collaborating with cross\-functional teams and external partners to design, install, maintain, and optimize automated manufacturing systems. Our team works closely with customers and internal stakeholders worldwide to deliver cutting\-edge solutions that support global production demands. **What You Will Do** * Lead collaboration with external vendors and cross\-functional teams to integrate and install automation equipment on production lines. * Drive the evaluation and continuous monitoring of automation system performance, providing actionable feedback to the automation team. * Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including manuals, SOPs, and automated process workflows. * Identify and resolve complex machine setup and operational issues to minimize downtime and enhance process stability. * Deliver hands\-on training and mentorship to technicians and operators, elevating team knowledge and operational capabilities. * Use statistical and analytical tools to assess machine performance, production efficiency, and product quality, presenting insights to manufacturing teams. * Actively lead efforts to address quality concerns linked to automation equipment and related processes, contributing to sustained manufacturing excellence. **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software, or related fields. * Strong proven experience supporting automation equipment in a production environment. * Strong technical English communication skills to effectively work with international suppliers and read technical documentation. * Proficient with automation systems and components such as motion control, vision systems, servo and stepper motors. * Hands\-on experience with equipment setup, acceptance testing (ATP), troubleshooting, and support in electronics or fiber optics manufacturing. **What Will Put You Ahead** * Experience programming with Cognex Vision systems and Delta Tau motion controllers. * Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies. * Familiarity with control panel wiring and pneumatic systems, as well as communication standards like RS232, Ethernet, and Fiber Channel. * Previous exposure to automation in electronics or fiber optics manufacturing environments.
