




Nursing assistants are responsible for routine care tasks and work under the supervision of a nurse or other medical professional, in any of their specialties. Present yourself for duty properly uniformed and punctual, wear clinical uniform. Assist the nursing department in the activities assigned to you. Know the daily surgical event schedule. Maintain close monitoring of patients, observe changes in their health status, and ensure they feel comfortable. Comply with CEyE regulations (cap, surgical uniform, face mask, and boots). Assist nurses in administrative records for controlling consumption of materials and medical supplies used per patient. Upon each patient's discharge, assist nurses in delivering the record of consumed supplies and medications provided by the Center's warehouse to the materials resources department, so that the cost of medical-surgical care and the clinical record can be delivered to reception. Assist nurses in receiving the patient upon admission, verifying fasting instructions, specific physical preparation, and personal hygiene. Verify that the clinical record meets admission requirements, confirm that informed consents for both surgical procedure and anesthesia are properly signed by the patient. Receive the patient without jewelry, dental prostheses, underwear, and nails without polish, providing them with a hospital gown for admission. Assist nurses in admitting the patient to the respective room, treating them kindly and professionally, always informing them of the required conditions for their care. Assist nurses in performing the patient's physical preparation and peripheral venous catheterization according to medical instructions and type of surgery to be performed. Transport the patient to the operating room transfer area, always observing safety measures and compliance with safe surgery guidelines. Keep family members informed about administrative and medical procedures to be carried out at the facility. Assist in the proper preparation of materials and instruments. Assist in providing sterilized materials in optimal condition for use in services. Properly wash and disinfect materials, equipment, and instruments. Understand the concepts of biosafety, asepsis, disinfection, sterilization, and equipment handling. Perform different types of asepsis, sterilization, and disinfection.
