Position: **Full Stack Tech Lead** Location: Mexico Work Model: Remote Contract Type: 6\-9 months Working Hours: Monday to Friday Language Requirement: Intermediate\-Advanced English Education: Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field Minimum Experience: \+4 years **Role Summary:** A full\-stack engineering role with technical leadership responsibilities—to design modern cloud-based architectures and develop end\-to\-end (frontend and backend) applications—integrating AI/LLM capabilities and DevOps practices. Focused on UX, performance, and quality, this role guides technical decisions and promotes collaborative best practices to accelerate digital initiatives for the Steel Business Unit. **Key Responsibilities:** * Guide technical decisions and remove team impediments. * Design scalable architectures (e.g., microservices, high availability) and modern patterns. * Build accessible, high-performance frontend applications; reusable components and system design. * Design and expose REST/GraphQL APIs; optimize business logic and server-side performance. * Integrate conversational assistants and LLM APIs for business use cases. * Establish and promote best practices, code reviews, and clear documentation. * Research technologies and frameworks relevant to the digital roadmap. * Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize deliverables aligned with BU Steel KPIs and strategy. **Mandatory Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; \+4 years of full\-stack experience. * Proven experience with microservices and cloud deployments (preferably GCP). * Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React (Next.js preferred). * Backend development with Node.js and/or Python; REST/GraphQL API design. * SQL/NoSQL databases; caching and messaging systems (e.g., Redis, Kafka). * Containers, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub/GitLab Actions, Terraform). **Desirable/Plus Skills:** * Integration of LLMs into frontend (e.g., Vercel AI SDK, LangChain.js). * Experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Functions, BigQuery) and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus). * Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Developer, CKAD, or similar. Success Metrics at 30/60/90 Days: * 30 days: Environment ready (CI/CD, observability), target architecture defined, and prioritized technical backlog established. * 60 days: First capabilities deployed to production with visible performance and quality metrics. * 90 days: Architectural improvements implemented; increased test coverage and knowledge transfer to the team. Primary Stack / Tools: * Frontend: React, Next.js, HTML5/CSS3, Tailwind, Testing (Jest, Cypress, RTL). * Backend: Node.js, Python; Express/NestJS or FastAPI; REST/GraphQL; microservices/event-driven architecture. * Data: PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis/Kafka; vector databases (Pinecone/Chroma). * Cloud/DevOps: GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub/GitLab Actions, Terraform, Grafana/Prometheus. * Management: Git, Jira, Confluence.
