




**Job Description** **General Description:** Responsible for ensuring compliance with all necessary government regulations during the import and export of goods in the most cost-efficient manner possible. **Responsibilities:** * Maintain customs policies, ensure a unique implementation aligned with evolving global needs, local regulations, and corporate policies/standards across Medline's global manufacturing facilities * Mitigate risks associated with import and export operations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and participate in various government and global trade programs and initiatives. * Manage relationships and agreements with customs brokers and other third parties involved in import and export processes. * Review/validate HTS classifications, administer trade programs, NAFTA, rules of origin, and other export promotion programs. * Manage and administer certifications for tariff deferrals or use of credits to avoid payment of foreign trade taxes, health permit applications, other authorizations, etc. * Manage supply chain security, C-TPAT and AEO security initiatives. * Promote and manage improvement plans for the department, automations, and tools for reviewing accurate pre- and post-clearance information declarations. * Monitor the generation of information required for effective tracking of metrics established by management. * Implement inventory control system audits, compliance with tariff and non-tariff regulations, permit balances, authorizations, etc. * Ensure effective training within the area and communication of changes to relevant personnel. **Professional Profile** ***Experience/Technical Skills*** * People management skills, minimum 7 years of experience in import/export, project development, continuous improvement techniques, implementation of regulatory changes. * Bilingual. ***Competencies / Soft Skills*** * Proactive * Decision-making ability * Teamwork * Sense of urgency * Dynamic * Ability to work under pressure * Ability to handle multiple projects * Decision-making ability ***Academic Background*** * Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or related field.
