**Full job description** **Container Traffic and Logistics Leader** **JOB OBJECTIVE:** ● Ensure the planning and coordination of routes and logistics operations to guarantee efficient and timely cargo delivery, maximizing profitability while meeting quality and safety standards. **Job Description** We are seeking a **Container Traffic and Logistics Leader** who will ensure proper planning and coordination of traffic and logistics activities, guaranteeing on-time deliveries, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is key to maintaining logistical continuity, leading the operational team, and optimizing field resources. **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise trips, active units, and route planning. * Verify legal documentation for each unit: permits, inspections, licenses, insurance, etc. * Report daily unit availability and share operational plans with management. * Handle extraordinary situations on routes (first point of contact). * Coordinate and authorize the use of local units and maneuver yards. * Validate and approve travel expenses: diesel, tolls, lodging, and extraordinary expenses. * Calculate and validate weekly operator payroll. * Lead the traffic team, including supervision, HR follow-up, and communication responsibilities. * Coordinate corrective maintenance with the workshop supervisor. * Handle incidents involving authorities (e.g., National Guard), including authorization of expense amounts. * Supervise proper assignment and loading of shipments. * Project and bill additional costs to the customer. * Support operator evaluation and hiring processes. **Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in heavy freight transportation logistics or operational traffic. * **Work location:** Durango **Skills and Competencies** * Leadership and decision-making * Frustration tolerance and stress management * Emotional intelligence * Effective negotiation * Analytical and conflict resolution skills * Clear and effective communication * Organization and sense of urgency * Practical knowledge of the logistics sector and transportation regulations **We Offer** * Job stability * Competitive salary (based on experience) * Opportunities for development and leadership * Professional and collaborative work environment Employment type: Full-time, Indefinite duration Salary: $15,000.00 - $17,000.00 per month Benefits: * Dining service * Free uniforms Work location: On-site Employment type: Full-time Salary: $15,000.00 - $17,000.00 per month Benefits: * Free uniforms Work location: On-site
