Ability to implement and develop Standardized Processes **What You’ll Do:** ----------------- **Primary Function:** The Engineering Technician is responsible for executing engineering best practices, utilizing various tools to implement, execute, or develop processes that ensure product specification compliance, maximize resource utilization efficiency, and positively impact operational metrics such as Quality, Service, and Cost. In accordance with customer requirements, ensuring benefits are consistently achieved in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and inventory. **Essential Functions:** A. Basic knowledge of product assembly, such as harnesses and connectors. B. Knowledge of design software (Solid Works, AutoCAD) for fixture manufacturing. C. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing. D. Reading GD\&T drawings. E. Knowledge of basic metrology equipment usage (Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges). F. Basic SAP knowledge. G. Knowledge of production routings, material tickets, and material flow. H. Time and motion studies and knowledge of production line balancing. I. Ability to develop and implement Poka\-Yokes. J. Ability to implement and develop Standardized Processes. K. Implementation of improvements on production lines to reduce waste (SCRAP). L. Develop, modify, and implement work instructions for the production process according to customer specifications. M. Responsibility for Continuous Improvement * Lead continuous improvement activities within the area of responsibility, aligned with Eaton’s Business System, policies and procedures, such as ELSS, CIF, PRO\-Launch, EQS, among others. * Actively participate in the PIMA idea program. * Identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with Operational Excellence. * Attend training courses. Responsibility for the MESH Safety System * Perform activities in accordance with MESH system elements, principles, and methodologies to prevent accidents. * Report any activity that jeopardizes personal safety, colleagues’ safety, or the environment. * Always wear personal protective equipment. * Separate hazardous waste from general waste. * Place hazardous waste in designated containers. * Maintain a clean and contamination-free work area. * Conserve water and electricity. * Store chemicals in designated safe locations.
