Fundación de Ayuda al Débil Mental A.C. is a civil society organization that operates a care model for individuals with intellectual disabilities and seeks to incorporate its staff into the following:
General Information:
· **Position Title:** General Accountant with experience in the authorized charitable organizations sector
· **Department:** Administration
· **Immediate Supervisor:** Manager of Administration and Finance
· **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00 hours
Position Purpose:
· Ensure timely and accurate compliance with legal, tax, administrative, and regulatory obligations to maintain the validity of the organization’s authorization as an Authorized Charitable Organization.
· Record and analyze all movements and transactions carried out by the Foundation to provide meaningful, timely, comparable, and verifiable financial information enabling various users to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
· Record and ensure accurate entry into the ERP system of all accounting movements and transactions conducted by the Foundation (revenues, expenses, bank charges, inventory, among others).
· Prepare federal and state tax workpapers in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
· Prepare monthly and annual informative declaration workpapers in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
· Develop and maintain up-to-date accounting workpapers (bank reconciliations, revenue reconciliations, cleansing and analysis of accounting balances, amortizations, depreciations, professional fees, IMSS, payroll, and other similar items).
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and other ad-hoc financial reports and analyses upon request from the Administration and Finance Management.
· Archive and safeguard documents under their responsibility.
· Control and update the Foundation’s asset inventories.
· Advise on optimal control of in-kind donations.
· Control and supervise the Foundation’s petty cash funds.
· Support and advise the administrative team in meeting tax requirements for issuing and receiving fiscal receipts.
· Address and advise on requests and procedures before government authorities and/or institutions.
· Propose, advise on, and implement mandatory and general internal control policies and procedures, subject to prior approval by the Administration Management and the General Directorate.
· Conduct periodic internal control audits to monitor compliance and updates.
· Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to activities under their responsibility.
· Gather accounting and financial information for internal and/or external audits.
· Keep the Administration and Finance Management informed regarding matters related to this position.
· Perform any other duties related to this position.
