Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and woodwork repairs, light bulb and air conditioner filter replacement, and thorough cleaning of painting or repair areas. Use lockout/tagout procedures before performing maintenance work. Demonstrate practical knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interface with such programs. Demonstrate average proficiency in diagnosing malfunctions of the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Demonstrate proficiency in training and guiding other engineers (e.g., Engineer I). Demonstrate proficiency in performing the duties of the On-Call Engineer, including readings and rounds. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure both uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain property information confidentiality; and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate guests’ service needs and fulfill them; assist guests with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure quality expectations and standards are met.
