Job Objective: To safely and efficiently transport goods to distant destinations, meeting delivery deadlines and traffic regulations. Ensure cargo arrives in optimal condition and within established timeframes, maintaining safe and professional driving practices. Main Responsibilities: * Operate the trailer safely, complying with traffic laws and regulations in each jurisdiction. * Adhere to road safety rules and speed limits, especially in residential areas, highways, and checkpoints. * Supervise or perform loading and unloading of cargo when necessary, ensuring it is properly secured to prevent movement or damage. * Verify that the cargo is securely fastened and complies with safety and weight standards before departure. * Conduct routine inspections before each trip to check the trailer's condition (tires, oil levels, brakes, lights, etc.). * Report any irregularities or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the appropriate department. * Follow the itinerary and routes established by the logistics coordinator, adhering to delivery schedules and designated stops. * Keep travel documentation up to date, such as invoices, cargo permits, time logs, and entry/exit records. * Deliver complete documentation and report any incidents or irregularities during the trip. * Maintain constant communication with the traffic or logistics coordinator to report trip progress and any unforeseen events. Requirements: * Education: Completed secondary education. * Experience: Minimum of 3\-5 years of verifiable experience as a trailer driver on out-of-state routes. * Valid federal driver's license. * Valid medical examination.
