General responsibilities: * Promotes and maintains the efficient and continuous operation of all hotel equipment through implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs. • Implements the Preventive Maintenance Program in assigned areas. • Prevents hazards in facilities, buildings, and equipment. • Responds to urgent reports of elevator malfunctions. • Optimizes energy resources used in hotel operations. • Complies with the hotel’s equipment and lighting on/off schedule. • Knows proper handling of hotel equipment and facilities. • Is reachable 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. • Reviews logbooks periodically. • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures and applies safety measures using appropriate personal protective equipment according to the task at hand. • Belongs to the hotel’s fire brigade. • Participates quarterly in fire drills coordinated jointly with relevant authorities. • Participates annually in fire drills coordinated jointly with the local Fire Department and Civil Protection Secretariat, previously arranged by the Maintenance Manager. • Performs improvements to the building and hotel equipment. • Contributes to the operational efficiency of the Department. • Maintains departmental material resources in good condition and is responsible for their proper care and use. • Carries out work orders issued by the Maintenance Manager efficiently and promptly. • Monitors minimum and maximum material levels. • Manages inventory of equipment and spare parts. • Maintains order and cleanliness in area workshops. • Coordinates with the Housekeeping Department to lock rooms according to the Room Preventive Maintenance Program. • Periodically performs upholstery, plumbing, painting, electronics, aluminum, varnish, air conditioning, electrical, and all other maintenance services required by the hotel. * Verifies operation of the mechanical room. • Verifies operation of laundry equipment. • Follows up on corrective maintenance tasks. • Reviews air conditioning and refrigeration equipment logbooks. • Coordinates air conditioning activation schedule in meeting rooms according to the event program. • Maintains equipment within the operational parameters specified in each equipment’s manual. • Ensures equipment operates correctly and safely in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. • Ensures emergency power generators (where applicable) function properly in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. • Responds to reports. • Supervises water treatment system (where applicable) in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. • Performs all types of carpentry work. • Performs daily pool cleaning (where applicable). • Ensures facilities’ paintwork remains in good appearance. • Ensures facilities’ varnish remains in good appearance. • Performs all types of carpet and upholstery-related work. • Prepares a shift-end report in the logbook. • Follows up on pending items recorded in the logbook. • Takes temperature readings of emergency power generators in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. • Records measurements and completes standardized forms applicable to the shift, as well as any special events occurring during the shift. • Covers the Maintenance Manager’s scheduled day off. • Maintains electromechanical equipment in good condition. • Assists with special client setups. • Participates in actions ensuring integrity of facilities and equipment, as well as guest and staff safety Job type: Full-time, Indefinite term Salary: $14,000.00 per month Benefits: * Company parking * Free parking * Employee referral program * Medical expense insurance * Life insurance * Free uniforms Education: * Elementary school (Desirable) Experience: * Maintenance: 1 year (Desirable) * General maintenance: 1 year (Desirable) Work location: On-site employment
