Job Profile: Civil Engineer – Earthworks and Topography Job Objective Coordinate, supervise, and execute civil engineering projects focused on earthworks and topography, ensuring technical quality, adherence to schedules, and optimal resource utilization at every project stage. Key Responsibilities * Plan and supervise field earthwork activities, ensuring accuracy in grading levels and volumes. * Coordinate topographic surveys and validate drawings, profiles, and cross-sections. * Prepare and review construction estimates, quantity takeoffs, and technical reports. * Ensure compliance with construction, safety, and quality standards on site. * Coordinate with site supervisors, surveyors, and operational personnel for proper project execution. * Propose technical solutions to address deviations or unforeseen issues on site. * Maintain effective communication with management and clients, delivering clear and timely reports. Required Competencies * Specialized technical knowledge: Proficiency in earthwork processes, topography, and construction regulations. * Leadership and coordination: Ability to lead multidisciplinary field teams. * Planning and organization: Skill in developing schedules and monitoring progress. * Problem-solving: Practical and technical approach to addressing on-site contingencies. * Effective communication: Clarity in reporting and coordination across departments. * Adaptability: Willingness to work on-site under diverse conditions. Candidate Profile * Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (licensed). * Experience: Minimum 3 years in earthwork projects and topographic surveys. * Additional knowledge: * Proficiency in specialized software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Neodata). * Volume and quantity calculations. * Safety and quality regulations applicable to civil construction. * Personal skills: * Leadership, accountability, and professional ethics. * Proactivity and ability to work under pressure. * Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
