




**Job Description** **Who will you work with?** Our maintenance team supports the Wabtec manufacturing plant, where we produce traction motors for trains and other products. Therefore, you will interact with teams across all departments, including production, manufacturing, quality, finance, and safety. **How will you make a difference?** As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance, advisory support, and execution of all activities related to critical machinery. Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager Supervises maintenance technicians May lead various projects requiring critical thinking, results-oriented approaches, cost-saving initiatives, continuous improvement, budgeting, and more. **What do we want to know about you?** * Electronic Engineer or related field * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience * Knowledge of programming with controls or robotics (repair) * Familiarity with CNC machines, welding equipment, presses, furnaces, hoists, etc. * CAM and CAD programming skills * Experience in Maintenance Management (TPM, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance; mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance) * Proficiency with computer software packages such as Office * English proficiency at 85% (preferred) * Knowledge of open-loop and closed-loop servo mechanisms * Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings **What will your typical day look like?** * Daily response to equipment failures within your assigned area * Leadership, monitoring, analysis, and resolution of equipment failures * Leading technical staff in resolving equipment failures * Monitoring and closing corrective actions to prevent equipment failures * Participation in investigations and implementation of actions to reduce machine-related defects * Closing daily work orders generated for equipment under your responsibility in the MAXIMO system * Preparing daily operations reports based on MAXIMO data * Developing and updating performance metrics dashboards for your area of responsibility * Managing the budget allocated to your area of responsibility * Developing risk reduction and cycle time improvement projects * Achieving 80% compliance with the Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan * Daily Gemba walks on the production floor * Taking personal responsibility for your own safety and that of others as a condition of employment * Immediately reporting any EHS-related incidents, concerns, or non-compliances to site management, and proactively correcting workplace conditions or behaviors that may harm people or the environment whenever possible * Ensuring you have the necessary knowledge, tools, and processes to perform assigned tasks safely * Following all Wabtec procedures and standards protecting people’s safety, health, and the environment * Participating in the site’s EHS program and contributing to the continuous improvement of Wabtec’s WMS-EHS system **What are the physical job requirements?** This position is based at the Apodaca, N.L. plant, a metal-mechanical company. Involves interaction with operational and technical personnel and working directly on production line machinery in the plant.
