This role will be responsible for supervising the day\-to\-day processing of general accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy in entries, while compiling financial reports and analysis.** ============================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================ **Accountabilities** ==================== * Supervise the general accounting team with 2\-7 direct reports, providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment to drive performance and professional development. * Oversee daily financial data entry in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries and manage general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. * Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured. Prepare detailed financial data for management review and facilitate necessary adjustments. * Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and reports that deliver actionable insights for informed decision\-making. * Review and present financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to integrate financial data and streamline reporting processes. * Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the general accounting function, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and risk management strategies. * Develop ad\-hoc reports and support special projects, such as financial data analysis and process improvements **Qualifications and Experience** ================================= Essential: * Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, Business Administration or a related field * 3\-6 years of relevant experience with general accounting. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines Preferred: * Master’s degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation **Technical Skills and Knowledge** ================================== Essential: · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite · Familiarity with Oracle ERP Suite and its related modules · Familiarity with Hyperion Finance Management (HFM) · Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.e., US GAAP and IFRS) **Languages** ============= Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required.
