DESCRIPTION **Supervisory Control and SCADA System Specialist for High Voltage** -------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Area:** Control Engineering / Automation **Project Type:** Construction (High-Voltage Substations) **Location:** Saltillo, Coahuila. ### **Position Objective:** Plan, execute, and supervise the implementation, integration, and commissioning of SCADA and supervisory control systems in high-voltage substations, ensuring efficient communication between field devices and monitoring systems according to technical, quality, and safety standards. ### **Main Responsibilities:** * Coordinate the design, installation, configuration, and testing of SCADA systems in high-voltage substations (115kV – 400kV). * Supervise the integration of IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices), RTUs, PLCs, gateways, and HMI systems. * Validate compliance with engineering technical specifications and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, etc.). * Ensure interoperability of protection, measurement, and control equipment with SCADA systems. * Manage communication with CENACE or the corresponding control center for telecontrol testing and synchronization. * Prepare technical documentation: control logic, FAT/SAT test reports, communication diagrams, manuals, and test protocols. * Support commissioning and startup of the control system in coordination with multidisciplinary teams. * Participate in site meetings, engineering validations, and technical audits. * Ensure compliance with electrical safety and industrial cybersecurity regulations. ### **Job Requirements:** #### **Education:** * Degree in Control, Electronics, Electromechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field. #### **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years in SCADA system integration in high-voltage substations. * Experience in configuration and testing of RTUs, IEDs, PLCs, and industrial communication systems. * Proven participation in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test). * Familiarity with on-site work environments and coordination with contractors and manufacturers. #### **Technical Knowledge:** * Industrial communication protocols: IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC. * Automation and control systems (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, SEL, GE, etc.). * Industrial network topologies (fiber optic, Ethernet, PRP/HSR redundancy). * Cybersecurity applied to SCADA systems (desirable). * Interpretation of single-line diagrams, control logic, electrical schematics, and communication drawings. * Configuration and testing software (Wireshark, IEDScout, Digsi, PCM600, etc.). #### **Skills:** * Strong analytical and technical problem-solving ability. * Effective time and priority management. * Clear communication with technical and managerial personnel. * Teamwork under pressure. * Results-oriented with commitment to quality standards. #### **Desirable Certifications:** * IEC 61850 certification (desirable). * Manufacturer training courses in SCADA or automation (ABB, Siemens, SEL, etc.). * Electrical safety certification (STPS, NOM-029-STPS-2011 or equivalent). **Work Mode:** On-site
