Are you ready to begin? **With us, you can.** **About this opportunity:** At WSP, we are seeking a **Design Engineer** to join our Hermosillo \- Mexico team. **Responsibilities:** * Provide support to the WSP team in Mexico, actively participating in projects related to modeling and drawing preparation. * Provide technical expertise to WSP teams and clients regarding design and construction projects related to Mine Waste. * Manage the preparation of design drawings and specifications, from scope studies through to detailed design and construction. * Manage and provide engineering and drafting services (design drawings and specifications, from scope studies through to detailed design and construction) related to Mine Waste management and project management. * Perform other duties assigned by the area leader. * Report any incidents and non-conformities occurring during work activities. * Comply with established environmental controls in performed activities. * Fulfill legal requirements and other voluntary commitments subscribed by WSP that fall under their responsibility. * Comply with internal policies and procedures of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety in performed activities, among others. **Requirements:** · Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related fields · At least 1 year of experience in design and development of earthworks, geology, urban, stormwater engineering. One year of experience in the mining industry is desirable. · Experience in generating drawings and technical\-descriptive reports, preparation of architectural and/or structural drawings. · Knowledge of earthwork calculations and road profile design. · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Epanet, Opus, or any other relevant software. · Intermediate English (desirable) · Availability to work in Hermosillo City. **What we offer:** * You can participate in our “Own It” program, which allows you to acquire shares in WSP Global through monthly contributions (deducted from payroll) and benefit from an additional 50% contribution from WSP (maximum amount defined). * You will have immediate ownership of your shares, including those acquired with the company’s contribution. * Annual performance evaluations. * Climate surveys twice a year. * Be part of a multinational company with high quality standards and continuous growth. * The opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary and multi-sector projects at national, regional, and global levels.
