Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide **Purpose of the Job** The Consignation Wayside supports the temporary operation team in a utility role by performing various tasks such as: moving and securing switch points of track equipment for safe train passage, installing required barriers and signage for temporary operations to secure work zones, assisting energy consigners with transporting consignment materials, among others. **Responsibilities** * Change the direction of points on point machines and secure them for safe train passage * Install and remove barriers and fences to secure work areas * Install and monitor safety signage in designated work zones * Comply with work permits for their activities * Report to the Temporary Operations Manager the configuration of track switch positions at the site * Report to the Temporary Operations Manager the setup of work zone demarcations at the site * Report to the Temporary Operations Manager any potential risks identified on site (barriers out of position, technical room doors left open, unauthorized excavations, unauthorized work, etc.) * Perform periodic inspections to verify the condition of work zones **Behavioural and Technical Skills / Competencies** * Skilled in manual work * Ability to apply ALSTOM processes * Teamwork * Capable of performing shift duties * Capable of working overtime **Technical Skills and Competencies** * Knowledge in the railway field * Good coordination and communication skills * Experience in manual work Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
