Summary: The New Product Introduction Engineer is responsible for overseeing NPI projects, product design, process design, and ensuring business performance commitments. Highlights: 1. Lead end-to-end product ownership from quoting to mass production. 2. Drive DFM reviews and process qualification for manufacturing operations. 3. Define assembly processes and validate quality with advanced testing. The New Product Introduction Engineer is responsible as part of the Product Engineering team. The NPI Engineer will have responsibility for meeting business performance commitments to key stakeholders. This includes overall responsibility and accountability for all aspects of NPI projects assigned following the NPI process, product design, and process design. Validate and implement manufacturing systems, including process documentation, control and optimization through the life of the product. Estimate manufacturing cost and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines. **Responsibilities** * Play a key role and may coordinate with multiple teams in the New Product Development Process as it is related to Manufacturing. * End\-to\-End Product Ownership**:** Act as the primary technical lead from the initial quoting phase, overseeing NPI builds, validating processes, and ensuring a seamless transition into Mass Production (MP). * System Design \& Component Expertise: Manage the technical specifications of critical refrigeration cycle components, with a heavy emphasis on heat exchangers (plate and roll\-bond evaporators), condensers, and associated tubing * Lead the introduction of new mechanical/thermal products: from prototype through mass production * Coordinate engineering builds (EVT, DVT, PVT) and ensure readiness of tooling, test equipment, documentation, and material * Define assembly processes, critical parameters, and inspection criteria for new mechanical/thermal \- components. * Quote \& Cost Optimization: Review customer RFQs and technical drawing packages. Lead Value Engineering (VE) initiatives during the quoting stage to identify cost\-saving opportunities (e.g., material gauge reductions, alternative coating specifications) without compromising thermal or structural integrity * Manufacturing Process \& NPI Oversight: Oversee Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews. Drive process qualification for operations such as aluminum welding/brazing, epoxy powder coating (e.g., Akzo Nobel applications), and assembly. * Testing \& Quality Validation: Define and approve validation plans including accelerated corrosion testing (e.g., CASS, GMW14669\) and advanced leak detection methodologies (Helium/Hydrogen sniff testing vs. traditional pressure holds). **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Thermal/HVAC Engineering, or a closely related discipline. * \+4 years of experience within an EMS, automotive, or appliance manufacturing environment, specifically owning products from NPI to MP * Demonstrated experience solving mechanical or thermal performance issues. * Knowledge on Electronics components and PCBA. * Strong Knowledge about APQP Process Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completo Pregunta(s) de postulación: * What is your salary expectation? * Please provide 2 to 3 ranges of dates and times when you would be available for an interview Lugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
