




**Job Description: Technical Sales Manager** **1. Position Summary:** * **Position Title:** Technical Sales Manager or Senior Technical Sales Manager * **Department:** Sales **2. Position Purpose:** Actively identify and develop new business opportunities (New Business) and lead strategic price negotiations to expand sales. Maximize company profitability through deep technical understanding of the product and autonomous capability to analyze cost structures and margins. **3. Key Responsibilities:** * **New Business Development** * Identify and prospect potential customers (Leads) through market analysis. * Execute market-entry strategies for new markets ("Hunter" role). * Analyze competitors and develop counter-commercial strategies. * **Sales Negotiation and Closing** * Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to Procurement and Engineering departments. * Conduct strategic unit-price negotiations focused on protecting profit margins. * Manage long-term supply agreements (LTAs) and associated risk management. * **Cost and Profitability Analysis** * **Autonomous quotation calculation:** Analyze cost structure (BOM — Bill of Materials, processes, labor) based on drawings and technical specifications. * Collaborate with Development and Production teams to identify Value Engineering (VE) opportunities and cost reduction initiatives. * Perform break-even point simulations and project-level profitability analysis. * **Technical Support and Customer Management** * Provide first-level technical support to customer inquiries and propose solutions. * Internally coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to align with customer requirements. **4. Requirements:** * **Education:** Completed Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field). * **Experience:** Minimum 7 years of experience in technical sales (manufacturing or automotive sector preferred). * **Essential Skills:** * **Cost Analysis (Costing):** Proven ability to calculate and break down manufacturing costs and interpret technical drawings. * **Negotiation:** Experience leading complex negotiations to safeguard company interests and margins. * **Market Expansion:** Demonstrated track record of successfully acquiring new customers (cold calling/prospecting). **5. Preferred Qualifications:** * Engineering background with transition into sales (strong technical product understanding). * Business-level English (mandatory). * Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools. **6. Key Competencies:** * **Strategic Thinking:** Ability to plan sales based on profitability, not just volume. * **Proactivity (Drive):** Self-motivated initiative to build one’s own sales pipeline and achieve KPIs. * **Analytical Capability:** Ability to substantiate quotations with sound financial and technical logic.
