Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Position Definition** Monitors and improves preventive and corrective maintenance of the production unit by supervising maintenance personnel and equipment; provides and ensures necessary resources to complete the job, guaranteeing that employees comply with safety procedures and standards. **What You Will Do** * Coaching and mentoring teams to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness. * Creation of work plans for staff and contractors; review of maintenance work performed by technicians. * Decision-making and purchase recommendations regarding equipment and tools; periodic training of workers on various maintenance processes and techniques. * Monitoring of maintenance budget; identification of cost-effective alternatives for current activities. * Tracking daily inventories, inspection of production units to detect wear; ensuring timely replacements. **Education:** * Degree in Mechanical Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Management or related field. **Required Skills** **Conflict Management:** * Knowledge in conflict resolution. * Ability to anticipate, recognize, and effectively resolve existing or potential conflicts within the group or with individuals. **Problem Solving:** * Maintain records and analyze data to improve performance indicators. * Continuously improve maintenance routines and procedures. * Ability to apply problem-solving techniques in various situations. **Effective Communication:** * Prepare and present information in production meetings. * Maintain close coordination with production and process teams. * Collaborate in capital projects, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Engineering and Technology:** * Solid technical knowledge of equipment and subsystems in the steel industry. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams. * Strong understanding of control systems and electronic components. **Manufacturing Standards, Procedures, and Policies:** * Knowledge of organizational standards and procedures related to maintenance. * Ability to plan, guide, and monitor maintenance processes to ensure compliance. **Technical Problem Diagnosis:** * Mastery of diagnostic tools and techniques. * Ability to anticipate, detect, and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment. **Additional Information** * **Location:** Santa Catarina * **Schedule:** Monday to Saturday (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) * Once a month, weekend coverage on Saturday will be required (if applicable, specify frequency and hours). * **English:** Intermediate level **Top Candidates Will Have:** * Human resource and time management skills. * Knowledge of TPM, Lean, Six Sigma. * Experience and knowledge in SAP, Power Apps, Power BI. * Experience in industrial equipment maintenance. **Final Details** Caterpillar's Code of Conduct states that we will select and place employees based on their qualifications for the position, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
